Hosers and Hockey Players Beware! – This Faux Trailer for CANADA DAY is KILLER!
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
To celebrate the countries 150th birthday (and not looking a day over 100!) we thought we would recognize Canada’s huge role in the history of horror!
Canada and its respective cities have played many other places in horror films since its earliest days. In this case, it plays itself in the (faux) trailer for the 70’s/80’s comedy-slasher CANADA DAY!
The synopsis of this national treasure is as follows:
When Canada’s birthday celebrations are intruded by a masked maniac, young beautiful Canadians fear for their lives.
5 friends, Victoria (Stephanie Moran), Hudson (Bradley Hamilton), Regina (Elizabeth McSheffrey), Timothy (Paul Eagle), and their American friend Bub (Kyle Martellacci) must come face to face with the killer before it’s too late. But who could it be? The local police, officer Ryan (Fabio Ricci) or officer Ryan (Dave Campbell) ? Barrie Brantford (Clayton Millette), the man banished from Canada during its independence, or Bub, the vacationing American friend?
It might seem obvious and it is. But for these friends, it’ll take a few murders to get their answers. Hosers and Hockey players beware!
Writer/director Kyle Martellacci, has no current intention to make this faux trailer a real film but it basically plays out like a whole friggin movie bud! Then again, who knows how he will feel after we celebrate Canadas birthday with some fireworks, Timmies and beers, right?
Check out the (faux) trailer below, eh?
